Liam Garnet - Head of Sports at Earlsfield Primary School & Head of Friday Night Football Club
Liam’s started his coaching career at the age of 15 when he joined his local grassroots Football club alongside Fulham F.C’s Foundation as a community Football and Multi Skills Sports Coach. Since then, Liam has accumulated over 10 years’ experience coaching grassroots Football, where he has coached and managed various age groups. He also has over 6 years’ experience in Multi Sports Coaching in the Primary Schools sector, Extended Schools Programs and Multi Sports Holiday Camps. Liam began his role at AM Sports Academy in January 2015.
Liam gained a 2.1 class honours degree in Sport Science and Media Arts from St. Marys University Twickenham in 2015. Liam has further gone on to complete a MA in Leadership and Management in Sport and Physical Activity at the University of Bedfordshire in 2017.
Liam boasts an FA Level 2 in Coaching Football with aspirations to complete the UEFA B License coaching award in the near future and has completed his F.A Youth modules 1 & 2 for children aged 3-11. Liam also has numerous qualifications in a wide range of sports such as Basketball, Handball, Tag Rugby, Futsal, Hockey and Netball.
He played for his local grassroots Football Club until the age of 16 and played in his first year at University before taking over as manager of the side for his second and third year. Liam has now returned to playing on a Saturday for a local amateur team in South West London, plying his trade as a center back.
